Dr. Aimy Steele is a former candidate for NC House District 82 both in 2018 and 2020. Utilizing her extensive K-12 public school operation experience, she began The New North Carolina Project in an effort to increase the electorate and turnout in traditionally Black and Brown communities. Aimy has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish & K-12 Education, a Master’s in School Administration, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. She resides in Concord, NC with her husband Michael and she is the mother of 5 children.

As a former field director, campaign Chief of Staff, and lifelong resident of North Carolina, Bree co-launched The New North Carolina Project. Her experience as a community organizer, business leader and non-profit manager is empowering her to make NNCP an ambitious, unique, and results-driven organization for every election. Bree is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, an avid equestrian, and a mother of two boys and three dogs.

Executive Assistant

Kristen has been with NNCPAF since 2021 and helps to manage our online presence as well as our operations. Kristen has a background in political campaigns and community organizing. She is passionate about reproductive rights and disability rights. Kristen was born and raised in Raleigh, NC but currently resides in New England with her husband and her dog.
